When I was fifteen, I went to Emerald City Comic Con for some inspiration. I hit a writer's block the size of the Great Wall of China and my mind was sluggish. When I went I got exactly what I was there for, examples of some the finest collaborative works in the work. As you can guess, it was comic books. For two days I was in Geek Paradise. D&D, expensive models and toys, old comics, new comics, Stan Lee, Wil Wheaton, it was all there. Naturally, when I came home the dam had split wide open and I was writing non-stop. Halfway through my third straight day of writing I had an epiphany.
"Why not give back to the community that has given me these great ideas? I know! I'll make my own comic book! Hmm... I can't draw. There was this cool medium I saw at ECCC that uses photos instead of drawing."
(Cue light bulb.)
"I have a whole bunch of actor friends, I'll just write scripts and we can act it out and wear cool costumes and stuff! This will most defiantly be a most excellent adventure!"
And thus the inception of Dr. Chestnut. The world's worst super villain.
